TOTAPURI MANGO PULP
Totapuri Mango is one of the familiar varieties in India. This variety is particularly available in South Indian states viz. Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Karnataka. This variety is normally large in size and its colour is golden yellow. It is oblong in shape and has a prominent beak-like pointed end. These mangoes vary in length but in an average the length of the fruit will be about 7 inches long. The skin of this variety is normally thick.
This Mango contains vitamins A, B, C and E. It is an excellent source of A and C Vitamins. The Totapuri mango has a rich aromatic flavor with sweetness and acidity in a delicate blend. The fruit pulp ranges from pale to bright yellow with a large central seed.
Application of pulp
The pulp is obtained by commercial processing of sound, ripened Totapuri mangoes and then passed through a 0.7 mm sieve. Some of the uses of this pulp is as follow,
